The art of destroying a beautiful house with paint....

The summer house built in 1980 was on the outside originally painted with black color inclusive the two supporting beams (a rather important architectural detail !).

The interiors were once covered with quality pine ..floor, walls, ceiling !

Waste of money, waste of paint....and irreversible. The two white painted beams is a sacrilege.

Here a little "left-over" as a reminder of the beauty of pine

Lisbon was special in terms of commerce during the 1960`s. The city lights from shops, neons and Christmas lights created a magic atmosphere and an heaven of colors.

Cinema Fonte Nova, 1985 - 2015

Era um cinema muito aprazível num centro comercial que foi o melhor de Lisboa durante uns bons anos. O primeiro filme a que aqui assisti foi "O Ano do Dragão" de Michael Cimino em Junho de 1986 e, o último, um excelente "Os Maias" de João Botelho em Novembro de 2014. Passei uns bons momentos no escuro destas salas que sempre tiveram uma boa programação. No passado dia 21 de Maio fecharam as portas e Benfica ficou um pouco mais pobre....

A Medeia Filmes explorava estas salas desde 1995.

"Looking for Johnny, the legend of Johnny Thunders"....

Göteborg, Bio Roy, June 11

I saw this rockumentary by Danny Garcia yesterday. Thunders talent is there all the way....not to mention the drug downward spiral. Sad....that Thunders music is cut in small pieces and portions (for sure for economical reasons) because his music deserves so much more. Not easy to produce a good piece of work with such a small budget (credit to the director !). Anyway....Johnnys gitarr is its own, fast and furious, just like his short life.

Here is Johnny`s great song "You Can't Put Your Arms Around A Memory", performed in Madrid back in 1985.
