The border between East and West Germany here at Friedrichstrasse. Checkpoint Charlie is just a few meters south. On the upper side of the photo are the two entrances to the U-Bahn (Stadtmitte), and the crossing with Leipziger Strasse. Due to the cars in the photo....probably early 1960s (?).
