Midnight in Paris....
Gil and Adriana (Owen Wilson / Marion Cotillard) have just landed in La Belle Époque..
Honesty, I could take a seat on that time machine....dreamy and pleasant - and Madame Cotillard is just superb.

"A morte de Carlos Gardel"....
Carlos Malvarez and Celia Williams
A very good film by Solveig Nordlund, about a devastating reality that harvested so many young lives in four decades, here
After a book by António Lobo Antunes, who I presume once lived in this house in Benfica where a few scenes were recorded.

"Any Human Heart"....
Matthew Macfadyen, Jim Broadbent and Sam Claflin
This dramatization of the extraordinary life of writer Logan Mountstuart is better than good. British acting and entertainment at its best....and life is indeed a fantastic journey.

Deep Purple at Scandinavium....
Scandinavium, December 10, 2011
Well.... “Made in Japan” was one of the first albums in my music collection. Deep Purple 40
years later....is just 40 years too late. Despite the energy provided by the Neue Philharmonie Frankfurt and the fact that these guys are great musicians, this
concert was a nostalgic trip to nowhere. Ian Gillam`s voice is just a shadow of
the past, and sometimes he tends to sing dreadfully "inwards". I am
glad he did not sing one of all time better rock songs; "Child in
Time". Best in show...."Smoke on the water" !
One of the better ways to kill a rock concert is to have a seated audience....congratulations Live Nation.
Ian Paice, Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Steve Morse, Don Airey
