Bryan Ferry at Liseberg....
Liseberg, May 27, 2011
The last time I saw Bryan Ferry was on Mars 1977 at Scandinavium ....thirty-four years later, he started the concert on a low gear, but very soon we reached greater heights through his unique melodic ability. The band (?)....just excellent !
Best in show ....the whole show, "Slave to Love", "Avalon", "All Along the Watchtower" ....and all the rest !
Welcome back soon Mr. Ferry !

Mauritz Kaffe....
.
I've been a costumer here since the late 70`s, and have never been disappointed. Mauritz was for many years one of the few places where one could enjoy good coffee - then came a stilted "coffee culture" with a bunch of fancy names.
Unfortunately, it appears that Mauritz must move away in the near future, because of a hefty rent increase. So if you are passing Fredsgatan 2 ... go in and order a "Tvåa med rågbröd" (double espresso and a round bread with Grevé cheese), listen to the music, and enjoy this unique environment. Believe me....it's worth every minute.

Göteborg as became a [bad] joke....
Now the results are clearly visible and the old post office in Gothenburg has been raped by this misplaced tower. Is this a decision of lobotomised politicians....or incompetent urban planners ? The old Post Office was an architectural unit...!

Destruction....from "Down Under"
Victoria, 1957, by James Miller
The destruction of the modernist heritage is a world wide problem. Here you can read an excellent resumé of the sad story.
Sorry Margarita....: (
